Dear Friends,
I had a laundry accident with my favorite white blouse. The tips of the collar look scorched after being in the dryer. I remember my great aunt turned the
shirts on my dads dress shirts to extend the ware but my mother cannot remember how it was done. My aunt passed away many years ago so I can't ask her. I
do sew but can't figure out how to do it. Oh my aunt did the work by hand. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can't afford to...

I think it is. I know I save money by sewing. I made almost all of my kids' clothes when they were really young. When they decided they didn't want to
wear what I made, we had to come to a compromise. Now they like for me to make them stuff like pillows and quilts and curtains.

I think making things out of other things has taught me how to save some money. I do try not to buy any more supplies and/or fabric than I have to. If you read
anything I write, you know I make things...

I'll start - I'm Donna. I believe that sewing is something that we can do in a "green" manner and have been doing it that way for a long
time. The concept of "green" is catching on now, but I've been at this since the 70s. Learn the art of "making do" and pass along your
knowledge for others along the way. Sewing is a way that we can create what we want without being dictated to by manufacturers of clothing and home designs.
so... who are you?
